Never thought of how Zemgus takes time to acclimate to new settings. You can adjust to Nolan's regime easily because there is no structure, just hard work. With Byslma and his system, it would take the young man some time...good point. Think he can get 30 points again this year? I'm hoping for 30 points and over 75 games.

As of right now he doesn't.

He would really have to work his arse off to be that type of a player this offseason. I hope he accepts the challenge and works hard, watch film and hopefully come to an understanding of what is expected of him.

He really has all the tools. I love his size and goal scoring abilities (I'm not counting last year)

I'd love to see the Latvian Locomotive succeed and be a staple for the team going forward.

pretty sure the sabres knew what they had in each regular player heading into the last month-plus, and they were out of the playoffs...imo, I think they threw c.or a bone...

that said, gus had a rough year, but was still responsible enough defensively to finish third amongst regulars in plus/minus...at 22 yrs. old it looks as if his floor is a mike grier-type who can score on a breakaway

Which i guess means Laine is better than Eichel too. Because experts are saying if Laine was a C that it would be a 50/50 split between him and Matthews.

One scout apparently said that Eichel couldn't carry Matthews skates so clearly the debate has been settled. God forbid another scout thought that Eichel might be better than Matthews, because no scout in the history of the league has ever been wrong

Why is anyone paying any attention to what Tanner writes.
